Hyundai Kona Electric August Waiting Period Upto 4 Months

The Hyundai Kona Electric had garnered more than 120 bookings within just 10 days of its launch. But only 17 units were dispatched to dealerships and delivered to the customers last month. The Hyundai Kona Electric is coming in as a CKD (completely knocked down) and select dealerships selling the EV have confirmed a waiting period of around three to four months for the EV.  

The Hyundai Kona Electric marked the entry of the first of many long-range electric cars in India. It recently got a significant price drop thanks to GST rates getting slashed from 12 to 5 per cent. It currently retails at Rs 23.72 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and is available at 15 dealerships in 11 cities across India. Only cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad have two showrooms selling the EV. Here are the Hyundai Kona Electric waiting period in the major cities for the month of August.

It’s available only with a 39.2kWh battery pack which is paired with a 100PS electric motor that delivers 395Nm of torque. It has a claimed 0-100kmph time of just 9.7 seconds. The Kona Electric delivers an ARAI-tested range of 452 km and takes around 6 hours or so when charging through a 7.2kW wall box charger that is complimentary with the car. Dealerships selling the Kona Electric and select Indian Oil Corporation stations will have a 50kW DC fast charger that can juice it up from 0-80 per cent in just an hour.

not mentioned about maintenance charges like: Electric charges, service charges, frequently of service., any other charges (if electricity fails, what is remedy). It is Costly for common man.
