Hyundai Santa Fe ready to launch in Indian market by Oct'2010

Hyundai India has finally a Crossover in hand that they can bet on - Hyundai Santa Fe. It is the latest crossover by Hyundai that is expected to be launched in the Indian markets by October 2010. Over the years Hyundai India has really struggled to have a strong foothold in the SUV and Crossover segments with Honda CR-V and Ford Endeavour giving tough competition.

Hyundai Santa Fe has been an extremely popular and a reigning crossover in the American Market and with the crossover segment growing in India, Hyundai is keen to tap this segment with this popular Crossover. This latest venture by Hyundai certainly seems intelligent as Santa Fe would offer great engine options as far the India road conditions are concerned. As the speculation goes the Crossover would be launched with a 2.2-liter, 150PS/335Nm diesel motor and a 2.7 liter, 188PS/284Nm petrol engine.

Although the Petrol variant of Hyundai Santa Fe has been doing quite well in the America markets, it is pretty evident that in the Indian conditions a powerful petrol engine won't be a favourable option as the fuel price of petrol is too high in India and the mileage offered is lower than the diesel variants.

Hyundai Santa Fe has reasons to be ruling the American markets with its world class features and performance. It would come with a foray of safety features that would ensure a safe and comfortable drive on the Indian roads. With all these features and tested performance Hyundai Santa Fe is a perfect contender from Hyundai to compete in the SUV Crossover segment.
