Hyundai has axed four variants of the Venue Turbo [S MT, S iMT, S DCT, and SX(O) MT] and two of the Venue diesel (base-spec E and second-to-base S). And in place of these, the carmaker has added Turbo S(O) iMT, Turbo S(O) DCT, S(O) Diesel, and SX(O) Executive diesel to the SUV’s lineup.
The newly introduced S(O) iMT -- pricier by Rs 30,000 than the now-discontinued S MT -- is the Venue Turbo’s entry-level variant now. Likewise, with the discontinuation of the base-spec E, the Venue diesel now has a new base variant in the S(O), priced at Rs 1.07 lakh more than the former.
The S(O) is based on the second-to-base S trim, and it gets additional features such as projector headlamps with LED DRLs and cornering function, a revised instrument cluster, and 16-inch dual-tone wheel caps (that look like alloy wheels).
On the other hand, the new SX(O) Executive is based on the second-to-top SX, and it comes with the same feature list and a few additions, including hill assist, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, tyre pressure monitoring, keyless entry with push-button start, rear wash and wiper, 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and a revised instrument cluster. However, the SX will now feature 16-inch dual-tone wheel caps instead of the previously offered alloy wheels.
Apart from introducing two new trims, Hyundai has also updated the BlueLink connected car tech, enabling it with voice controls. It can now be used to open/close the sunroof and operate climate control and driver power window.
