India-made Nissan Micra aka March launched in Nepal

Nissan, the Japanese automaker has launched the 2013 Micra facelift in the Nepali auto market, but with a new name called as 'March'. The Micra is also known as the March in several global markets including Thailand and Japan.
Dugar Brothers & Sons (DBS) is the authorised distributor of Nissan in Nepal, and the India-made Micra will be retailed through the same distributor. Only top of the line petrol model of the hatchback has been introduced in Nepal, and will be sold as a premium hatchback. The company aims to sell around 300 units of the March annually.
Under the hood, the new Nissan March gets a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder engine that churns out a maximum power output of 74bhp and 104Nm of top torque. The power is transmitted to front wheels via a five speed manual transmission. The vehicle accelerates to 100kmph from stand still in just 14.5 seconds, and has a top speed of 160kmph. It offers an impressive fuel economy of 19kmpl.
In Nepal, the March gets several safety ingredients such as 4-airbags, fog lights, ABS (Anti-lock braking system) with EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution Force). The introductory price of the hatchback is Rs. 2.85 million Nepalese Rupee (around Rs. 17.5 lakh), and with the festive season around the corner the company has also offered a Rs. 75,000 Nepali Rupee (Rs. 47,000) flat discount
