Indian auto manufacturer to expand its Indiana plant

Autoline industries, an engineering and automotive parts manufacturing company which is based in Pune recently announcedthat it is planning to expand its manufacturing plant in Indiana.The company is likely to spend $1.5 million. It will also create 25 job opportunities by 2013.

Autoline Industries opened the Dekalb County facility back in 2008 where it manufactures pedal assemblies and spare tyre kits. Currently 80 employees are working in that facilitThe company is planning to invest $ 1.5 million on the manufacturing equipment and building improvements which will enable it to fulfill the increasing demand of the OEMs. Speaking over the expansion plans, Indiana Secretary of Commerce Mitch Roob said that India is among one of the rapidly growing economies across the globe. He further added that he has come to India for a week long time in order to strengthen its ties with the companies so that if these companies think to expand their business to U.S market, Indiana gets the highest priority.

Robb who led an Indiana delegation to India this week, also said that he had discussions with Autoline and other firms gives a clear picture that Indiana an compete on an international stage. The seven days long trip includes meetings lined up with 30 businesses in India. This is the state's very first job mission to India. Autoline Industries started back in 1995, the headcount at the company across the world is around 2,000 and the company generated a revenue of $99 million in FY2010.Sri Bramadesam, Autoline president said that Autoline Industries looks forward to the expansion of its existing facility In Indiana.Based on the Autoline Industries job creation plans, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Autoline Industries up to $ 225,000 in performance-based tax credits.
