Is Tucson Coming Back? Hyundai India to launch Two New SUVs in 2015!

One is the upcoming ix25 compact SUV launching in August, the other is likely to be Tucson, Hyundai India used to sell here which was discontinued in 2010
Hyundai India promises that they will focus on SUVs this year and said that two such cars will be launched in the country in 2015. One of the two vehicles Korean manufacturer is already testing on our shores extensively for a while now is, ix25. The other is likely - the popular ix35 aka Tucson. Tucson was discontinued from India in 2010 with a brief span of nearly five years.
Rakesh Srivastava, Senior VP and head of sales, commented "The next focus will be on sports utility vehicles. Two SUVs are lined up that will be modern with premium feel."
This said, Hyundai is also launching the beefed-up Elite i20’s cross version next month (global debut), this could also be one of the utility vehicles Rakesh Srivastava is hinting towards.
Furthermore, globally, Hyundai sells Santa-Fe and ix35 (now - Tucson) in its SUV portfolio and ix25 was recently added (debuted in China). And by adding Tucson to its lineup, Hyundai India will be selling its global SUV lineup in the country. It is appreciable that India is on high priorities by the Korean automaker. Let’s see whether its Elite i20 Cross or Tucson!
Speaking of the new Tucson, the SUV was revealed coupled of days ago, and the new gen adopts Hyundai Fluidic design 2.0, similar to that of Santa-Fe and the upcoming ix25. It features petrol and diesel engines, India is likely to get either 1.7 or 2.0 CRDI. It’s also loaded inside-out with lots of goodies and features 2WD and 4WD option.
