While the Indian automotive industry is facing a tough time, there are some vehicles doing superb in terms of sales. If we talk about the country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India, it recorded a 3 percent decline in its sales, however, their top-seller Swift Dzire and the mini car segment vehicles (Alto, M800, WagonR, A-Star) did great for the company. The other vehicles, which performed superb in April were Renault Duster and Honda's first diesel car Amaze. So, Indian people's preference is shifting more on the right products than the brand name, which used to happen in the past.

Renault's SUV Duster and Honda Amaze brought the growth, which their respective owners were expecting. While Renault Duster emerged as the top-selling SUV in April, leaving the Scorpio behind, a total 4,852 units of the Honda Amaze were sold, helping Honda to record around 20% growth. Moreover, within three weeks of its launch, Amaze's booking number went over 22,000 units, showing the kind of response Honda's first diesel vehicle has received. Renault India too recorded a phenomenon 10-fold growth.
