Jaguar has launched a toned down version of its luxury sedan the Jaguar XF. Termed as the executive edition, this variant is still powered by the 2.2 litre engine but comes minus some of the creature comforts seen on its premium sibling. The executive diesel edition comes sans the memory feature for the driver seat and the mirrors; it comes with rear parking sensors but without the rearview camera; and no front passenger seat away button which allowed the passengers to adjust the front seat for better legroom.

Other features seen on the Jaguar XF such as the sunroof and TV tuner are also missing in the executive edition. The latter gets fabric seats instead of leather ones and the interior mood lighting is not as elaborate and ambient as the luxury version; it’s rather simple. The 2.2 litre diesel engine produces 190PS of power @ 3500rpm along with a torque of 450Nm @ 2000rpm and is mated to an eight speed automatic gearbox.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Rohit Suri, Vice President Jaguar Land Rover India said: “We are excited to introduce the Jaguar XF 2.2L Diesel Executive Edition, at an attractive price point.  It will enable us to access a wider audience which consists of discerning and premium Indian customers who have always loved the brand, aspired to own this sedan and be seen in it”.

Other luxury features such as Bluetooth connectivity, navigation system, music system, full colour touchscreen display, Jaguar smart key system with keyless start, electronic folding seats and power folded exterior mirrors remain the same as on the XF sedan.

The Jaguar XF is capable of going from 0-100kmph in 8.5 seconds and is one of the popular sedans from the Jaguar portfolio. Jaguar Land Rover has a network of 21 dealerships across 19 cities in the country.
