The Carnival gets cash discounts of up to Rs 3.75 lakh valid until July 31, 2021
Kia’s luxury MPV, the Carnival, has been on sale since February 2020 in India. While the carmaker has been offering the MPV with various benefits since September 2020, it is now attracting maximum savings in the form of huge cash discounts. Here’s a look at the variant-wise offers applicable till July 31, 2021:

The base-spec Premium variant is being offered with a maximum discount of Rs 3.75 lakh while the mid-spec Prestige and top-spec Limousine get savings of Rs 2.5 lakh each. Here’s a quick look at its variant-wise pricing:

Note: We have only considered the diesel-powered variants of both the MPVs as the Carnival is a diesel-only model and is only offered with an automatic transmission.
As per the above table, we can see that the discounted base trim of the Carnival diesel automatic makes it more affordable than the second-to-top VX manual trim of the Innova Crysta. However, as we consider the higher variants of the Kia MPV, it is the Innova Crysta that is more affordable.
Kia is also providing customers a ‘Satisfaction Guarantee Scheme’ wherein new buyers can return the vehicle if they are not satisfied with it and avail 95 percent of the total costs incurred.

The Carnival comes with a single diesel engine, a 2.2-litre unit making 200PS and 440Nm. This engine is paired exclusively with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Kia’s luxury MPV doesn’t have any direct rivals in India. It is positioned above the Toyota Innova Crysta but below the Toyota Vellfire and Mercedes-Benz V-Class.
