Takeaways

Hyundai Creta: With a market share of over 33 per cent, the Creta ranks second in terms of the number of units shipped in September. However, when comparing the year-on-year market share, it witnessed a decline by almost 25 per cent.

Maruti Suzuki S-Cross: The S-Cross boasts of the highest MoM numbers yet Maruti could not sell more than 1,000-odd units of the compact crossover. Its market share is going down with each passing year and now stands at a little over 5 per cent.

Renault Duster: Even though Renault launched the facelifted Duster in India, nothing much seems to have changed when considering its sales figures. In fact, it is the second-worst affected car in the segment with a decline of over 43 per cent when comparing its MoM figures.

Kia Seltos: Holding the largest market share at over 39 per cent, the Seltos is clearly the segment leader as Kia managed to sell over 7,000 units of the SUV. It is one of the two cars to witness a positive growth when comparing the YoY market share figures.

Nissan Kicks: Nissan managed to ship 200-odd units of the Kicks in September. However, it is the only car other than the Seltos to witness a positive growth when comparing the YoY market share of all the SUVs.

Mahindra Scorpio: The Scorpio witnessed a growth of almost 26 per cent when comparing its MoM numbers. Mahindra sold 3,600 units of the Scorpio, which almost equals its average six-month figure.
