2014 Evoque has gone under the hammer and it is reflecting quite clearly by its appearance. The company has incorporated a newly developed 9-speed automatic transmission in the SUV; the entire array of vehicles is going to come with it. Under the bonnet, the UK based auto maker has retained the 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder oil burner which belts out a maximum power output of 187bhp and peak torque performance of 420Nm. On the other hand, the petrol variants feature a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder motor that generates 236bhp of power output and 340Nm of peak torque. It has offered the SUV with a total of four variants with three in diesel guise, while a lone variant is available in petrol. The diesel variants are Pure, Dynamic and Prestige and they are priced at Rs. 55.28 lakh, Rs 65.34 lakh, and Rs 66.24 lakh, respectively. The petrol variant Range Rover Dynamic comes with a slightly expensive, Rs. 95.52 lakh price.

Now, if we take a glance at the updated Discovery 4 which the company has launched simultaneously with the Evoque, it gets a lot of cosmetic modifications. The front fascia is entirely new along with rejuvenated headlights. Not to forget, the inclusion of LED daytime running lights (DRL). Land Rover Discover 4 was also showcased at the recently concluded 2014 Indian AUto Expo. The company has decided to offer the SUV with diesel fuel trim only, with two variants - SE & HSE with a price Rs. 1.08 Crore and Rs. 1.14 Crore, respectively. Mechanically, still the same 3.0-litre, V6 engine perform its duties to the SUV, churning out a power of 244bhp and torque of 600Nm.
