The Range Rover Evoque has been updated with the new Autobiography variants with two mild-hybrid engines, both of which are priced at Rs 69.50 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). This is for the first time that the luxury SUV has received the carmaker’s most premium Autobiography touch on our shores. This launch has made the Evoque more pricier by more than Rs 1.5 lakh, as the previously-available Dynamic SE trims that cost Rs 67.90 lakh (ex-showroom), have been discontinued.

The new Autobiography variants feature some new design elements outside, while packing in a few new amenities inside. Here are the details:

What’s New?

The overall silhouette of the Range Rover Evoque remains identical to the previously-available Dynamic SE variant. However, in a typical style attuned to Autobiography iterations of the brand’s other SUVs, the Evoque Autobiography gets some unique touches such as copper-coloured lettering on the bonnet and the tailgate. The roof also gets a similar colour trim that looks opulent and grand on the SUV. The 19-inch alloy wheels also get the copper treatment.

But copper-colour elements is not the only distinction in the Evoque Autobiography; it gets new LED headlights with pixel-like elements, which are underlined by mascara-shaped LED DRLs.

If the exterior looks rich, the interior provides an even premium experience with the usage of leatherette material not only on the new dual-tone black and grey seats, but on the door panels, dashboard and the centre console. The roof also gets a suede leather material that ups the in-cabin luxury. To make the cabin feel airier, it also now gets an openable panoramic sunroof which lets a lot of air and light inside.

In addition to all this, the Evoque Autobiography variants get an electrically adjustable steering wheel, and a 14-speaker 650-watt Meridian sound system, both of which have been provided to the Evoque nameplate for the first time.

Other Features And Safety Tech

The Range Rover Autobiography continues to feature an 11.4-inch curved touchscreen, a 12.3-inch fully digital driver’s display, a wireless phone charger, 14-way electrically adjustable front seats with heating and cooling functions, a 10-colour ambient lighting and a dual-zone auto AC. Heated rear seats are available as optional equipment.

Its safety suite comprises multiple airbags, 360-degree camera with blind spot monitor, front and rear parking sensors and also some advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) features such as driver drowsiness detection and auto emergency braking.
