Lexus ES 300h Gets Minor Updates For Increased Practicality

The entry-level Lexus offering also gets more tech as standard

• 2022 ES 300h cabin updates include cupholders in the centre console instead of the Lexus trackpad.
• Adds dynamic voice recognition feature and option for user profiles to store personalised multimedia settings.
• Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto now offered as standard.
• No mechanical changes were brought in with this update.
• The updated version of the sedan now starts at Rs 59.71 lakh and tops at Rs 65.81 lakh (ex-showroom).

Lexus has given the ES 300h a very mild refresh. The most notable change can be seen on the centre console where the marque’s trackpad has been replaced by conventional cupholders for increased storage and practicality. Its cabin now also gets the latest Lexus logo.

Included in the update is the standardisation of wired Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay in both variants the sedan is available in. Additionally, it now comes with the Lexus dynamic speech recognition system and a profile function that allows users to personalise their media preferences. Lexus says the handsfree trunk function has also been enhanced.

The sedan has received no mechanical changes. It houses a 2.5-litre hybrid powertrain system with the combined output of 218PS and an eCVT. The updates come at a small premium and the luxury sedan is now retailed between Rs 59.71 lakh and 65.81 lakh (ex-showroom).
