Hyundai's smallest and cheapest offering, the Eon has certainly lived up to the company's expectations, it is selling close to 7,000 units a month on an average, which actually proves it to be a new 'trendsetter' of India. Now the South Korean car maker has launched the Eon in Chile, which was especially a made for India product.
Hyundai Eon has been positioned as an entry level vehicle in Chile, where the company already has an extensive line-up, and is planning to launch several other vehicles in years to come. So being a compact, frugal and economically priced vehicle, it should get the attention in Chilean market. The Eon will be made available in two variants, a base model that gets the features like driver's side airbag, fog lamps, CD player, immobiliser, rear spoiler and body coloured bumpers. While the high-end variant will sport some advanced features like an AC, Power Window and central locking.
The Chilean Eon will sport the similar 0.8-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine like the Indian version, which delivers the maximum power output of 55bhp and 68NM of torque. As far as the pricing is concerned, the base model would cost 4190000 Pesos (approx Rs. 4.7 lakh), while the high-end variant has been priced at 4790000 Pesos (approx Rs. 5.4 lakh).
