The extended version of the Mahindra Bolero Neo, with the moniker “Plus”, has been in the works for a while, and we have also spied test mules of it several times. And now, an RTO document has revealed the variant list and power output of the upcoming SUV.
What does the document suggest?
As per the RTO document, the Bolero Neo Plus will be offered in six variants – P4 7Str, P10, P10 (R), P10 7Str, P10 7Str (R) – as well as an ambulance-specific P4 5Str model, which also offers space for a stretcher. Mahindra will offer the extended version of the Bolero Neo in both seven- and nine-seater configurations. The ambulance version, on the other hand, will be offered in a five-seater layout, with extra space for the stretcher.
Going by the document, the Bolero Neo Plus will use a 2.2-litre diesel engine rated at roughly 120PS, which is 10PS less than the Thar and the Scorpio Classic (both of which use an updated version of the same engine). The Bolero Neo, on the other hand, gets a 1.5-litre diesel engine – mated to a 5-speed manual– making 100PS and 260Nm.

Other Expected Changes
The Bolero Neo Plus will feature a revised front grille and rear bumper with smaller reflector panels on the back. It also has a slightly rounded rear than the Bolero Neo. Aside from these, the extended version of the SUV looks almost identical to the regular Bolero Neo, as seen in our recent spy shots.
Features To Expect
The Bolero Neo Plus is expected to have a similar feature set as the Bolero Neo, such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display, cruise control, height-adjustable driver seat, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.
