The interiors of Mahindra’s upcoming KUV100 micro-SUV have been snapped. The car was spied by Autocar India and the pictures reveal clear details of the car’s interiors. The pictures show the layout of KUV100’s front console, which incorporates the gear-shifter that has been mounted on the dashboard. Also, the front seats of the car can be clearly seen, which finally confirms the fact that KUV100 will be offered as a 6 seater, courtesy of the car’s front bench seats. The 5+1 seat layout is reminiscent to that seen in the Datsun GO and that of the Fiat Multipla.
Other unconventional updates include a pull handle mechanism for the handbrake and vertically stacked AC controls. The layout inside the cabin had been arranged to optimize the interior space and for easing the incorporation of the bench seats.
As far as gadgets are concerned, KUV100 comes with a touchscreen infotainment system and a single binnacle instrument cluster, which incorporates a multi-information display.
Under the hood, KUV100 will be powered by a 1.2-liter mFalcon G80 petrol unit, which is capable of producing 82PS of power. This will help the car take on rivals like the Hyundai Grand i10, Maruti Swift, Tata Bolt and in terms of the diesel mill, KUV100 with its 77PS will only fall short in front of the Ford Figo but might compensate for the same with practicality and probably a competitive price-tag.
