Mahindra open to acquiring SAAB

Indian automobile giant Mahindra and Mahindra is not ruling out the option of taking complete ownership of SAAB. Mahindra has already acquired SsangYong and REVA, the thriving auto cos is on a roll and is thinking of buying Swedish car company SAAB. SAAB is a Swedish car company, who is currently in heavy losses and has declared bankruptcy. Mahindra is looking forward to acquire this bankrupt company. SAAB is a 60 year old Swedish car making company, the company was going through losses for couple of years and finally, the owners of this Swedish car company, filed bankruptcy.
SAAB cars are known for their rounded sedan designs and also the quirky features and styles of the sedan car. According to Pawan Goenka, President-farm and equipment, Mahindra, a strategic fit does not imply that the firm being acquired has to be a SUV firm, but it could also mean infrastructure, technology, asset, and distribution. Mahindra top official reacted to the questions put up to them at a public press meet conference, when media asked the officials their opinion on SAAB. The officials said that they have particular strategy and planning when dealing with such issues.
