Mahindra has reintroduced the Mahindra Scorpio N’s Z4 variant with an automatic gearbox. The same configuration, which was on offer during the SUV’s launch back in 2022, was earlier discontinued. It was then available from the Z6 diesel and the Z8 Select petrol trims. Now with the reintroduction of the automatic with the Z4, this transmission choice becomes more affordable for buyers. Other than this, the overall feature suite of the SUV remains unchanged. Here’s a detailed overview of the same:

As seen in the table above, the Scorpio N Z4 petrol automatic is more affordable at Rs 1.67 lakh, while the diesel automatic is priced at Rs 1.05 lakh less compared to the Z6 diesel automatic.
Other Features & Safety
The Z4 variant of the Mahindra Scorpio N is only available in a 7-seater configuration. Design elements include halogen headlamps, LED indicators and taillamps and 17-inch steel wheels with covers. It is equipped with features like 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, steering-mounted audio and cruise controls, manual AC with rear vents, analogue dials with a 4.2-inch digital MID, rear wiper, washer and demister.
Features like dual-zone auto AC, ventilated seats, a 12-speaker Sony sound system and a sunroof are offered in the higher trims.
Safety features in the Scorpio N Z4 include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold and hill descent control, ISOFIX child seat anchorages and rear parking sensors.

The Scorpio N Z4 gets all the powertrain configuration that is offered with the SUV. Do note that the rear-wheel drivetrain is offered as standard and the all-wheel drive setup is available only with the Z4 E variant, albeit in the diesel-manual configuration.

The Mahindra Scorpio N has other SUVs like the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus as its rivals. It can also be considered a body-on-frame alternative to the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun and Kia Seltos.
