Mahindra to launch 6-7 variants during next fiscal

India's largest SUV manufacturer Mahindra and Mahindra on Sunday announced that it is planning to launch around 7 new variants of its vehicles across various segments. In addition to this company is also planning to start formal production of commercial vehicles like pick-up trucks in US market by the start of first quarter of next fiscal.
According to Mr Pawan Goenka, President of M&M the company will launch about
6-7 variants of its existing models in various segment of vehicles including utility vehicles, commercial vehicles and three wheelers. According to him the launch of new variants of its existing models will help company to grow across different segments.
Mahindra & Mahindra earlier announced that it has plans to launch a new SUV on a wholly new platform by starting of next year. While briefing about company's new launches in Delhi
Auto Expo Mr Goenka said that during the auto expo, company launched two models which were completely built on a new platform including the Maximo model. He also added that these recently launched models including the Maximo, Geo and some heavy trucks will drive a heavy volume by next year.
While referring to the company's market position in India Mr Goenka said that company is expecting to retain its market share as well as growth with the industry average during next fiscal. He further added the company had suffered a 5 percent production loss in the last quarter of last year though the situation is much better now.
