Mahindra Xylo to be launched with a 4WD option

Mahindra Xylo, an MUV which was launched in India last year will be launched in a Four-Wheel Drive version soon. The company is planning to start manufacturing of this all-wheel drive version in India.
The Mahindra Xylo model comes with an special Borg and Warner system, which makes the 4WD an optional feature in it. At the time of launch of Xylo model the company announced that it will launch a 4WD (4 wheel drive) version of this model after analysing the response of the Indian buyers towards it.
The 4WD enabled Mahindra Xylo is in its final stage of manufacturing and company is testing it for the final touch. It is expected that after its launch in India the model will be launched in other potential markets of the company including South Africa where the company is selling its Scorpio model in good numbers.
Mahindra & Mahindra is countries largest SUV maker with selling some of the most popular SUV models in India including Mahindra Bolero, Mahindra Scorpio and Mahindra Xylo. The model is competing with some of the most popular MUV's in the country including Toyota Innova and Tata Safari. Besides this Mahindra is also planning to launch a new SUV in India by 2011.
