Maruti Baleno BoosterJet might make its way to India. The 110PS variant as of now, is exclusively limited for export purposes. India is also the international production base for the BoosterJet variants, which will be exported as Suzuki models, instead of donning the Maruti badging. There is a silver lining to the BoosterJet situation, as a variant of this car has been spied testing and the spyshots give an up-close insight into the model’s rear-end. One can easily make out from the images that this souped-up hatchback incorporates disc brakes on its rear wheels, which are bound to bestow Baleno BoosterJet with sporty handling characteristics.
The company has not released any official statements confirming or for that matter hinting at the car’s launch date yet, but when launched Baleno BoosterJet will rival the likes of Abarth Punto Evo and Volkswagen’s upcoming Polo GTI hot-hatch.
Baleno BoosterJet is highly coveted and justifiably so. The car will feature one of the most powerful units in the market today and further enhancing its performance characteristics will be the hatchback’s lightweight construction. Add to this, the creature comforts offered by Baleno like the Apple CarPlay infotainment system amongst others and Baleno BoosterJet becomes the ultimate Premium Hot-hatchback. Indian automotive enthusiasts have another reason to cheer-up as Maruti will be showcasing its Baleno RS concept at the upcoming 2016 Indian Auto Expo, which will be held in the Greater Noida region. The Baleno RS concept will incorporate the 1.0-liter BoosterJet powerplant and it is also expected that we will receive further updates pertaining to the car at the upcoming Expo.
