The Maruti Baleno remained the segment best-seller, but it was the only model to report a decline in its monthly and yearly sales in May 2025
Compared to April 2025, the premium hatchback segment in India witnessed steady sales in May 2025. The Maruti Baleno retained its top-selling position, despite a decline in monthly and yearly sales. On the other hand, the Toyota Glanza, Hyundai i20, and Tata Altroz recorded improved month-on-month (MoM) sales figures. Here’s a detailed account of how each of the hatchbacks performed:
