Maruti eyes breakthrough win with the new Dzire

Maruti Suzuki India has pretty high expectation from its newly launched compact sedan, Maruti Swift Dzire. The company is expecting it to engender higher market share in the entry level segment of the sedan market in the country. Maruti Suzuki has already ignited the price war by launching the new Swift Dzire Rs. 25000 to Rs. 30000 less than the older model.The managing director of Maruti Suzuki India, Mr. Shinzo Nakanshi mentioned that the engineers of the firm have brought in some impressive alteration in the new Maruti Swift Dzire, which also comprise of automatic gearbox that will meet the wants of the young city families.

Maruti Swift Dzire was dominating the entry level sedan segment of the Indian car market and with the improved version it is expected to continue to dominate the entry level sedan segment. Maruti Suzuki India use to sell about 8000-9000 units if Swift Dzire per month, but with the entry of Toyota Etios sedan at a very competitive price, Maruti had to launch the improved version of Maruti Swift Dzire.

The new Swift Dzire is shorter in length than the previous model and fetches a lower excise duty of around 10%, which was 22% in case of the older model of Swift Dzire. The petrol version of new Swift Dzire comes with a price tag of between Rs. 4.79 lakh to Rs. 6.19 lakh, while the diesel version comes around Rs. 5.8 lakh to Rs. 7.09 lakh, which sounds like a great deal.
