Maruti Suzuki India, the country's largest car maker is now coming up with the newest version of Maruti Swift hatchback which is due in August. Maruti Swift hatchback has been a great hit as a compact model car and has ruled the Indian Auto market for six years before it decided to upgrade the older version with more features and extra comfort. The best part is Maruti Suzuki India has asked its dealers to consider the customers’ wish who have booked Maruti Swift, if they would like to go for the upgraded model.

The reports say that Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. has stopped the production of its best-selling premium hatchback Maruti Swift as it gears up to launch its upgraded version next month. The new Maruti Swift will be rolled out from an entirely new platform. Maruti Swift has set its record as a largest selling car with sales in excess of 150,000 units per year. The users have the choice to choose from three of its fuel variants and two engine options for this hatchback. The company has asked the dealers to give the customers an option to upgrade for the new version of Maruti Swift hatchback for those who have booked this car off late. With the upgrade, the new Maruti Swift is likely to be more expensive than the existing version ranging between four to six lakhs; however, the actual price is kept up wraps until the official launch of the new version.

The existing Maruti Swift was launched in May 2005 and since then this model has witnessed a huge demand and continues to hold the number one position in sales and with the newer version coming up next month there is no doubt of being an eternal success.
