Maruti Pavilion at Auto Expo

Maruti Pavilion was set up at the entrance of the Pragati Maiden's Gate No 5. The pavilion in Hall no 14 was the biggest for any auto company. The entrance of the pavilion was designed in such a way that it always seemed closed. But as you go nearer, the way for entry appears. The inside of the pavilion was designed to give it shape of space. The entrance's floor was illuminated with green colour lights. The concept car of Maruti, Maruti R3, was displayed at the center of the pavilion with other new cars and Suzuki bikes. On the other hand, one section of pavilion was dedicated to modified Maruti cars in India. While other section booked for displaying Maruti Eeco Charged and its technology. width=300The company had provided the facility to design your own car virtually at a separate section of the pavilion. Maruti officials were there to explain everything about the new products except price tag. They were denied to disclose or give any idea of pricing of products. Female models were adding to the looks of the vehicles. Sometimes they were also seen giving detailed information about vehicles along with they were standing.


width=300Maruti Suzuki displayed its Concept Eeco Charge car at the ongoing 10th Auto Expo. Concept Eeco charge is one of the two eco-friendly projects undertaken by MSI under the Government initiated programmes by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy Source (MNRE) and the National Hybrid Propulsion Programme (NHPP). It is powered by a 50 Kw motor and 24 Wh lithium-ion battery, promising a driving range of around 100 km and attain a top speed of 100 km per hour. The recharge time of the battery is 7 hrs. The drive mode is economy and sporty while the cruising range is 100 km.


width=300Maruti launched Maruti Eeco, yet another addition to its pavilion at the Auto Expo. The car has been brought in the C segment especially designed for the Indian roads. Maruti Suzuki India MD and CEO Shinzo Nakanishi commented on its launch that they had introduced Maruti Eeco to satisfy the consumers who aspire for spacious and comfortable car. Maruti Eeco has been revealed along with three variants 5 Seater Standard, 5 Seater AC and 7 Seater Standard. Maruti officials have announced its commercial launch by April2010. The 5 Seater Standard will come with a price tag of Rs 2.59 lakhs while the 5 Seater Ac will be priced at Rs 2.89 lakhs. The 7 Seater Standard will be available for Rs 2.75 lakhs. These prices are ex showroom prices of Delhi.

width=300It also revealed an exciting Multi Purpose Concept Vehicle (MPV) Maruti RIII, at the 10th Auto Expo. Maruti Suzuki with its latest Concept of MPV plans to enter this small segment that's not yet explored by the Company. RIII, the Concept car is a well researched at Maruti Suzuki's Research and Development Centre. The Car is expected to be a Seven seater vehicle with speculated price range of 4-5 Lakhs, however this is a prototype, with the variants not decided yet, said Company's management Executive Officer I V Rao.


width=300Maruti SX4 Hatchback and Maruti SX4 Hybrid have been unveiled at the pavilions. Both Maruti SX4 hatchback and Hybrid are imported as a CBU (Completely Built Unit). Maruti SX4 Sedan with a petrol engine has already been a favourite among the users in the country and now Maruti SX4 Hybrid has had plenty of anticipation and excitement from the public. Maruti SX4 hatchback 2.0L petrol engine car whereas Maruti SX4 Hybrid possesses the size of a Sedan.



width=300The company has also displayed the Maruti Grand Vitara Celebrate which is the newer version of its popular SUV model Grand Vitara. Maruti unveils its premium sedan model Maruti Kizashi at the 10th Auto Expo. Maruti Kizashi is powered by the 2.4L, DOHC, in-line four-cylinder engine with automatic transmission gearbox that can produce 180Bhp of maximum power with 230.35Nm of maximum torque. Maruti Kizashi is well received in the international market. Maruti that tried its luck with Maruti Grand Vitara but could not find a positive response in India. Now with a new look, the company unveiled Grand Vitara Celebrate at Auto Expo.

Maruti Suzuki currently offers a wide range of cars starting from entry level model Maruti 800 and Alto to high end luxury cars Ritz, A star, Swift, Wagon R, Estillo and sedans like SX4, Dzire and SUV Vitara.

Dear User, We would like to inform you that as now Eeco 7 seater is not available with AC. You can get it fitted from outside vendor. As of now the company is not planning to bring in any new variant for Maruti Eeco. Thanks
