Maruti seems unstoppable this fiscal, after launching A-Star facelift and Swift Dzire's new avatar it seems that now it plans to upgrade the Ritz hatch. One of our close source recently got its hands on the highly comouflaged image of Ritz, the image suggests that the car has heavy camouflage in the front portion and lighter camouflage in the back part which covers the badge of the Ritz. The spied image hints towards the possibility of Ritz getting a mid life faelift. As the back portion has a light camouflage the back portion is expected to be similar to what it was earlier.

However no other substantial information is avaialable about the anticipated face-lifted Ritz model which is expected to be launched soon in the next few months. Maruti Suzuki India has been constanly speaking about their intentions of including CNG supported double fuel engines in their cars and the new Maruti Ritz could be an implementation of this idea. The Ritz is only next to the new Swift in the B+ hatchback series of Maruti cars in India. The car has some very special features like the tall boy design which could impress the elder generation of the buyers because of the sufficiently large space available to enter and exit from the car. The car is available in both diesel and petrol engine versions and it has enjoyed a fairly descent success in the Indian car market so far.

The petrol version is powered with the 1.2 ltr K series while the diesel version is equipped with the 1.3 ltr Multijet engine. While Maruti Suzuki India was constantly hit by strikes in 2011, the company's premier model new Maruti Swift was hit very bad in terms of production and sales. It was during this time that Ritz took over and helped the company to make up for its losses. Maruti Suzuki exports the hatchback from India to various countries, it is sent to Europe and sold there as the Suzuki Splash. It is also modified in terms of style and design and sold by a duestche auto brand Opel as the Opel Agila hatchback car in Germany.
