Maruti Suzuki Alto 800's Official Images Out

CarDekho has been constantly reporting about Alto 800 ever since we brought the first images of the car months back, we also revealed the features that it will come up with. Now when the Car has already reached at Maruti dealerships across India and pre-bookings have started, Maruti Suzuki India has today released the official images of the new Alto 800, ahead of its schedule launch on 16th October. So all this would certainly help MSI to do superb during the festive season.

The pictures suggest the new car to be exactly the same that we brought months back. And like we reported earlier that the all new Alto 800 will replace the existing Alto, however Alto k10 will be retained, that has been the reason why the company is clearing the old stocks of Altos at the moment.

The alto 800 would be priced more than Rs 2 lakh and not as everyone predicted it to be Sub Rs 2 lakh car to compete with the Nano. So we are expecting the car to be priced between Rs 2.5-3 lakh. As far as the features are concerned, the all new Alto 800 will have a bunch of exciting features like power windows, Driver side SRS air-bags, availability of CNG kit and some others, which makes it a great option at a price range it will be coming in.

The Alto 800 will be carrying the similar 796cc, 3-cylinder, 12-valve petrol engine that is used in the outgoing model of Alto. And mated to a five-speed transmission, it churns out the maximum of 47.5bhp (3.5bhp increased this time) and will return a mileage of around 22kmpl. What gives it competitive edge over most its rivals is the fact that the car will be launched in a CNG variant as well, however one will have to additionally pay around Rs 30-40k for that.
