It wasn’t long ago that we got to see the new-generation Suzuki Swift, in concept form, ahead of the Japanese mobility show, which is scheduled for later this month. The carmaker will also be showcasing a more polished version of the eVX electric SUV concept. But before you get to see it in the flesh, a first look at its interior has surfaced online.
Talking Points Of The Cabin
The eVX concept’s cabin has a minimalist appeal, with the integrated displays (one for instrumentation and the other for infotainment) taking centrestage, standing atop the dashboard. Other highlights include long vertical slats that are placeholders for AC vents, a 2-spoke steering wheel resembling a yoke, and a rotary dial knob in the centre console likely for drive modes. However, we would advise you to only take these design elements with a pinch of salt as this is a concept and it is likely to vary big time from the production-spec model, as was already seen in one of the spy shots.
Anything Different On The Outside?
In its latest guise, the electric SUV has a revised fascia with slimmer LED headlights and DRLs, with a triangular element, and chunky bumpers.
Its profile sports chunky arches, filled by big alloy wheels, and flush-fitting door handles. At the back, it has sharp connecting taillights with a 3-piece lighting element to mimic the updated DRL light signature, and a huge skid plate.

Electric Powertrain Details
Although not much is known about the production-spec eVX and its electric powertrain, Maruti Suzuki – at the Auto Expo 2023 – had revealed that it will come with a 60kWh battery pack suitable for a claimed range of up to 550km. It was also confirmed that the eVX will feature a dual-motor setup for a 4x4 drivetrain.
When Will It Be Launched?
We expect Suzuki to bring the eVX to India by 2025 at a starting price of around Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). It will take on the likes of the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona Electric, while being a premium alternative to the Mahindra XUV400 and the new Tata Nexon EV.
