Maruti, Tata and M&M score well in February sales

The auto biggies for February month registered higher monthly sales figures even after the domestic auto market faced a sudden sprung.
For February 2011, Maruti Suzuki rolled out 1,01,543 cars in the domestic auto market which is up by 19.8 per cent against last year sales at the same month. The company observed an upward graph by recording 19.4 per cent increase and in the A3 segment it raised by 27 per cent, while in C segment it clocked a growth of 26.9 per cent. Maruti also introduced Maruti SX4 Diesel and Maruti Kizashi in February.
Tata Motors another big name in the auto industry accounted an increase of 11.6 per cent in February by rolling out 77,543 cars which was 69,427 cars for February 2010. The passenger car sales increased to 18.25 per cent as the Indian auto firm rolled out 31,909 cars for the month of February which was 26,985 cars for the same time last year. The Tata Nano sales reached at 8,262 car sales in February clocking a growth of 101 per cent compared with the previous year's sale in the same time.
Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) reported an increase of 5.25 per cent in the Japanese giants sales for the month of February which is 32,629 cars when compared to last years sale of 31,001 cars for the domestic auto market for the last year. While the auto company accounted a decline of 4.77 per cent in its accumulated sales of 52,007 cars against the sale of 54,610 cars same time last year.
Mahindra & Mahindra registered a hike of 19.66 per cent in its sales as it rolled out 33,378 cars for February. The Indian utility maker rolled out 27,894 cars for the same month in 2010.
In the Indian auto market, M&M accounted a rise of 20.27 per cent at 31,967 cars against the last year sales of 26,580 cars for the same time in 2010. the accrued sales of M&M utility cars such as Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra Xylo, Mahindra Bolero and the pick-ups was at 14,288 cars which was 12,813 cars in February 2010 recording a hike of 11.51 per cent.
