Maruti to export the Ritz model in South East Asian market

Maruti Suzuki, India's largest car manufacturer is gearing up to introduce its latest compact hatchback Maruti Ritz model to South East Asian markets. Company is already exporting its popular small car, Maruti A-Star in European market and the model is registering very good sales in that market. The first shipment of the Maruti Ritz model containing 500 units of the car is ready for the Indonesian market. According to a statement given by the company official, the Indonesia is a prime destination for the hatchback Maruti Ritz and first shipment of 500 units of Ritz model powered with 1.2 liter petrol engine is ready to for Indonesian market.
The Ritz model was recently launched in India in the same league as the Maruti Swift model though it failed to match the success of Maruti Swift model so far. The Maruti Ritz model is currently available in two engine options which includes 1.2 liter petrol engine and a 1.3 liter diesel engine. In South East Asian market there is a wide scope for small hatchback cars like Maruti Ritz and taking it into consideration the company is planning to project Maruti Ritz model as its flagship model in the overseas market. Company is expecting that Ritz model will gain same momentum as the Maruti A-Star model. The Maruti A-Star model of the company is currently exported to 44 countries including many European countries like Philippines, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Maruti has already captured good market share in Indonesia as it managed to export 11,145 units of cars of its various cars till now.
