Maruti has issued a recall for 9,925 units of Wagon R, Celerio, and Ignis, manufactured between August 3 to September 1, 2022. The carmaker suspects a possible defect in the rear brake assembly pin for this batch of vehicles.
Due to the defect, the pin (part) might break and cause a peculiar noise. It might also affect the cars’ brake performance in the long run. Of the units being recalled, those diagnosed with this issue will have the faulty part replaced free of charge. The parts for replacement are being arranged and the authorised Maruti Suzuki Arena and Nexa workshops will contact the customers to bring their cars in for inspection.
