Mercedes A and B class to be launched globally by 2013

Mercedes one of the world's best car manufacturer is once again ready to set a price war in the market. The car company is well known for its luxurious cars that it manufacturers. Mercedes is a German car maker and is planning to bring new generation of Mercedes A and Mercedes B class in to the Indian market. The two new cars of the Mercedes A and Mercedes B will be cheaper than the Mercedes C class range. The company is doing this to recover its existence in the Indian market.

The new brand of Mercedes; Mercedes A and Mercedes B is all set to besot the world with its exclusivity. The German auto giant will launch the new cars globally by 2013. The Mercedes has been planning to develop right hand drive for a long time. Peter Alexander Trettin who is the CEO and President of the Daimler Europe, Asia and Africa region said that, the new generation cars will be based on front wheel architecture and the price will be much lower than the Mercedes C class.

Mercedes is currently selling Mercedes E, Mercedes C and the Mercedes S class sedans and Mercedes GL and Mercedes M Class SUV in the Indian market. The new Mercedes A and Mercedes B class will be rendered in SUV, coupe as well as four door sedan range along with hatchbacks. The company is hopeful that with the launch of these new generation Mercedes cars the company will definitely counter a number of rivals in the Indian market such as BMW which is selling its cheapest car in the range of Rs. 22 lakh. The cheapest car from Mercedes in the Indian market is the Mercedes C250 CDI which is available at the price of Rs. 27.75 lakh. Mercedes believes that the new generation cars with low entry price range will attract the younger generations and thus it will be easier for the company to tackle all kind of competitions from other German luxurious car makers.
