Mercedes India dealer network widens in Bangalore

Mercedes Benz, despite its longer stay in the country has lost its first and then second position to BMW and Audi respectively. In order to regain the lost status and sales figures Mercedes Benz has been following a new strategy to lure more and more buyers. The strategy is known as ‘Go to customer’ and under this, Mercedes Benz has opened a second dealership in Bangalore. Located on Mysore road, this new dealership will be handling the sales in the southern parts of the city. Covering 65,000 square feet, this 3S dealership showroom is known as Akshaya Motors and was inaugurated by the Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, Mr. Peter Honegg.

Akshaya Motors Bangalore has taken the count of dealerships in India to 70 across 31 cities. On the occasion, Mr. Honegg stated that the company is constantly trying to please the buyers with more enticing products which would enthrall them with a radically distinct and delightful experience of ownership through its superior after-sales network. The opening up of Akshaya Motors is an example of the ‘Go to customer’ strategy which is an attempt by the company to reach out to more customers and also enhancing its foothold in the country, he added.

Akshaya Motors is sure to render the buyers a bewitching experience with its collection of alluring cars, drive-in valet service, a customer lounge with Café-Mercedes and engrossing audio-visual presentation. Mr. M.P. Shyam, Managing Director of Akshaya Motors mentioned on the occasion that it took around 12 months and Rs. 30 crore to build this dealership, owing to its 3S structure, along with the showroom this facility is furnished with a 29-bay workshop capable of handling customer service requirement on day-to-day basis. The workshop with a driver’s lounge is no less appealing than the showroom itself; performing usual repairs and fixing accident jobs, general spares, after-sales support are the undertakings of the workshop.
