Mercedes to launch Mercedes GL at Auto Expo

Mercedes-Benz GL will be launched at the up-coming Delhi Auto Expo 2010. The GL is a crossover SUV which might be loaded with a 3.5 litre V6 engine that develops a peak power of 268 hp with seven-speed transmission. The Mercedes-Benz GL will be having automatic transmission with 4 WD, seven seat capacity, large boot and macho exteriors. The crossover SUV will be pitted against Toyota Landcrusier, Range Rover and Audi Q7. The other models on display by the company include new C250 CGI which is powered by a 1796cc turbo charged direct injection petrol mill and belts out around 204 bhp of power and peak torque of 31.6 kmg. The new sports model can achieve a peak speed of 240 kph and chase 0-100 kph sprint in just 7.4 seconds. Other than these vehicles, the company is going to showcase its Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe that comes loaded with a V8 engine and churns 560 bhp. The supercar is to compete with likes of Ferrari. This car is expected to be available this year in both petrol and diesel variants. Volkswagen and Maruti Suzuki are also ready to launch Volkswagen Polo and Maruti Eeco at the much-awaited 10th Auto Expo 2010.
