Mercedes-Benz AMG C43 Cabriolet To Make Debut @ Geneva

Mercedes-Benz AMG C43 Cabriolet

Alongside the all new C 43 4MATIC Coupe at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz will be introducing another member from their C-Class performance family, the C 43 4MATIC Cabriolet. Essentially a top down variant of the Coupe, the car which redefines style with performance. This will be an addition to the Mercedes AMG's portfolio in the international motor show and will definitely attract crowd.

The car is powered by the same 3.0-litre V6 biturbo engine which powers the Coupe. Performance figures are also reminiscent to the Coupe with 362bhp at 5,500-6,000rpm and 520Nm of torque at 2,000-4,200rpm.

Mated to this powerhouse is the 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission which has double-de-clutching function which comes to play during downshifts and particularly short response time when in "Sport Plus" mode. As a result, the car sprints from standstill to 100 kmph in 4.8 seconds, and goes all the way up to an electronically limited speed of 250kmph.

Like all other AMG cars, C 43 4MATIC Cabriolet is also stunning to look at. It has an AMG design with unique front and rear apron and special exhaust tailpipes. Adding to the appeal is the diamond radiator grille with pins in chrome and louvre in high-gloss black. The car runs on 18-inch AMG 5-spoke light-alloy wheels, painted in high-gloss black with a high-sheen finish.

On the inside, the car has AMG instrument cluster in chequered-flag design with 280kmph scale and an AMG main menu. It features a multifunction sports steering wheel in leather with deep indentations in the grip area, flattened bottom section and red contrasting topstitching. The upholstery is in ARTICO man-made leather/DINAMICA microfibre in black with sports-seat look and red topstitching. The roof can be opened or closed in mere 20 seconds when driving at a speed of up to 50kmph.
