Mercedes-Benz clocks highest ever February sales

Mercedes the luxury on wheels in India has registered the maximum sales of 662 luxury cars in February 2011. The highest sales helped the German luxury brand clocking a growth of 51 per cent when compared with the sales of February last year.

Mercedes-BenzIndiahas another reason to rejoice over the accelerating sales as the record sales are highest ever. Mercedes owns a proud moment accounting to impressive sales of 662 cars for February 2011 which shows that they are well executing the brand in the country.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class the luxury car observed a growth of 110 per cent in its sale, as it rolled out 362 cars against the sale of February 2010 of 172 cars, however the German's flagship car model Mercedes E-class rolled out 230 cars against the 161 cars sold in February 2010. The Sports utility vehicle also scored an upper hand by selling 23 cars of Mercedes GL model which was only 11 cars for February 2010. Mercedes ML and Mercedes R-Class together rolled out 27 cars.

Mr. Peter T Honegg, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India is elated with the results in the domestic auto market. Honegg said that 2011 has begun the year with a great start. As the auto company is able to register record sales figures for its cars. He also added that the company is overwhelmed with the response and is happy that Indian buyers like the luxury car brand.

This has also been a spectacular year for the German auto company as it started with its 125th year celebration. The company plans a whole year of celebrations on several platforms.
