Mercedes-Benz India opens first state-of-the-art Authorized Service Station for Buses in Northern India

Mercedes-Benz in India inaugurated the first fully equipped authorized service station for Buses in the North India- PMG Automobile Pvt. Ltd., near Chandigarh. The service station was inaugurated by Mr. Devdutta Chandavarkar, Director, After Sales, Mercedes-Benz India and Mr. Mohit Pratap Singh, Principal owner, PMG Automobiles Private Ltd.

The service center in Panchkula, is set up to look after the needs for the Mercedes-Benz buses both with the two and multi axle which has all the Mercedes-Benz brand and is affixed with international standards. The service station is vastly spread in an area of 30000 aq. ft with qualified trained employees. Till now an investment of more than INR 30 lakhs has been made which involves the machinery, tools and infrastructure.

The newly established service centre has a capacity to mend 2 buses each day which ensures timely service and regular maintenance reports to its customers in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and neighbouring states. Other than this, the service centre is also affixed with additional services such as Wheel Alignment, Body & Paint repair and more. The employee in the technical department has under went training by the Mercedes-Benz for better and quality services.

Dr. Wilfried Aulbur, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India said that, these days, after sales service is an important factor considered before purchasing a new vehicle. He said that, customers feel satisfied that Mercedes-Benz has such extensive service network in India. He further said that, the luxury car company also strives hard to work with commitment and with passion and the association with PMG testifies the same by setting up the service centre in Chandigarh and near by areas.

In India, the market for the high end luxury buses is huge and as per the estimations around 500 buses are expected to be sold every year and raise by 20 per cent annually.

Mr Mohit Pratap Singh, the owner of the PMG Automobiles who has opened the service centre with the Mercedes-Benz says that PMG is excited to be associated with the luxury car brand. The service station is well equipped and also has trained professionals from the luxury brand itself. Chandigarh is a vital market and as per the survey the additional cities also play an important market for the brand. Currently, the luxury company network is spread in 27 cities with 57 touch points, which is huge when compared to the other major players in India.

Apart from building quality buses, Mercedes -Benz in India has won hearts of many in the luxury car segment which has been favourite of many from a long time. The company currently owns 11 car models in India Mercedes-Benz M-Class, Mercedes-Benz CL-Class, Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Mercedes-Benz GL-Class, Mercedes-Benz New C-Class, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Mercedes-Benz SL-Class, Mercedes-Benz SLK- Class, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and Mercedes-Benz R-Class.
