Mercedes-Benz says new C 220 CDI’s localization content has increased up to 60%!
Mercedes-Benz today introduced the locally-assembled new C-Class diesel with nearly Rs. 2 lac reduction in the overall pricing, it now starts at Rs. 37.9 lac. The local production of the new C 220 CDI commences within three months of the car’s Indian debut. And will now be available at all the Mercedes-Benz dealerships across India.

- C 220 CDI Avantgarde: Rs. 39.90 lac
The sedan is powered by a 2,143 cc four-cylinder diesel engine which musters 167.6 hp in between the engine range - 3,000-4,200 rpm and segment best torque - 400 Nm in-between 1,400-2,800 rpm. The motor is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission in a rear-wheel drive setup. The new C-Class accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.4 seconds and hits a top speed of 233 km/h. The C220 CDI has a manufacturer claimed efficiency of 19.27 km/l.
