Mercedes-Benz V250 BlueTEC 4Matic revealed; debut at Paris Motor Show

With the introduction of V250 BlueTEC 4Matic, German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is all set to expand its V-Class MPV lineup. To be showcased at the upcoming 2014 Paris Motor Show, the van is set to become the first V-Class with 4MATIC all-wheel drive. After the official unveiling, the MPV will go on sale from December, while the deliveries would start in early next year.
The MPV will be powered by a 2.1 liter four-cylinder engine, which will be churning out a good 190 bhp, and peak torque of 440 Nm. The produced power will then be sent to the all-wheel drive system through a 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission, which is its prominent characteristic. The fuel consumption of the MPV stands at 6.7 litre of fuel for every 100 km or the equivalent, while the CO2 emission count lands at 177 g/km. Interestingly, it is the first vehicle with permanent all-wheel drive in its segment to comply with the Euro 6 emissions standard, courtesy its BlueTEC technology.
The MPV comes with four rear seats as standard, comprising of two-passenger bench seat, three-passenger bench seat, else a berth package is also available as an option. Moreover, all its bench seats can be folded down and used as a second loading level.
Since March, the V-Class has been available with rear-wheel drive as standard. Available in three different configurations, namely 136 bhp, 163 bhp) and 190 bhp. According to the company, in addition to the top-of-the-range V 250 BlueTEC 4MATIC model, other engine variants of the MPV will also be offered with all-wheel drive in the future.
