Mercedes-Benz has launched the Elite variant of the V-Class in India priced at Rs 1.1 crore (ex-showroom).

The German carmaker now offers the V-Class in three variants: Expression, Exclusive, and Elite, which are priced at Rs 68.4 lakh, Rs 81.9 lakh and Rs 1.1 crore respectively.

The Elite variant commands a premium of Rs 28.03 lakh over the Exclusive variant.

Powering the Elite variant is a 2.0-litre diesel engine with the same power and torque figures as that of the 2.1-litre unit which is offered on the Expression and the Exclusive variants.

In terms of styling, it gets a revised front grille and bumper along with a new design for the alloy wheels.

While its feature list remains mostly unchanged, Mercedes-Benz is offering S-Class-like rear seats, a 15-speaker Burmester sound system and more, only in the Elite variant.

Mercedes-Benz has also introduced three new colours in the V-Class: Steel Blue, Selenite Grey and Graphite Grey.

As of now, the V-Class doesn’t have any direct rivals but it is set to change with the arrival of the Toyota Vellfire next year.

Chennai, November 7, 2019: India’s largest luxury carmaker, Mercedes-Benz launched the V-Class Elite today. As the pioneers of the ‘Luxury Multi-Purpose Vehicle’ (MPV) segment, the brand now offers a product that combines the highest standards of passenger cars with the functionality and practicality of an MPV. The versatile vehicle allows customers to choose from a wide range of customization options, as well. Martin Schwenk, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India launched the V-Class Elite in Chennai, today.
