The strike at Hyundai has called off on Friday, but strike at another car company's plant is still going on. However, the issue of the stir is different here. The “tool down'' agitation by workers of auto major Mahindra and Mahindra's unit here entered the fifth day on Friday with the union demanding suspension of its leader Madhav Dhatrak be revoked. Mr Dhatrak told reporters at a press conference here that the workers would come at work provided the management cancelled his suspension. Mr Dhatrak has reported to meet Labour Commissioner and was assured him that the commissioner would discuss the issue with company management. Production at the company's Nashik facility, which makes about 500 vehicles daily, has been affected due to the strike by nearly 4,000 workers. It may be recalled that the M&M workers went on strike since Monday in response to disciplinary action initiated against an office-bearer of the employees union.
