Getting to the top and retaining the position is quite difficult, hope it is not for Mercedes. The premium car maker Mercedes Benz has given some of the best cars to India and reinforcing its stand to deliver the best, Mercedes has decided to make Mercedes E-Class more powerful, and economical to use. Undoubtedly, the E-class is Mercedes bread-and-butter sedan and this is perhaps the reason why it has chosen to bring in newer technology in it, in order to give tough competition to its contemporaries BMW 5 Series, BMW 3 Series. As per initial feedbacks, the 2012 E-class sedan will be more powerful with loads of new technologies placed in it and it may have a facelift as well.

Talking of the proposed changes in the new Mercedes Benz E-class, the petrol version would have a direct injection technology hopefully inherited from SLK 250 in order to produce more power and torque. The introduction of direct injection would clearly impact fuel efficiency and we can happily assume that running the new 2012 E-class would also be much cheaper.

With the new technology in place, the Mercedes E-Class will be more powerful and it would deliver 302 bhp at 6,200 instead of 204 hp at 6100 rpm in the existing E-Class. This would be well above 246 Nm @4000rpm produced by BMW 525i as well. The new 2012 E-Class will produce 370Nm from 3,200 to 5,250 rpm against the existing 245 Nm @5000-5500 rpm making it faster than its predecessor. The mileage is also expected to improve and the new E-Class would hopefully deliver around 11kmpl. Besides, the all new 2012 E-Class models would be fitted with 7G-tronic, the seven speed automatic gearbox. With the 7G-tronic in place, the Mercedes E Class would be more responsive and witness swifter and faster shift times. Well, with such changes anticipation for the new 2012 Mercedes E-Class would be high. However, the Mercedes 2012 price in India will be out once it is launched.
