After unveiling the car at New York Auto Show 2014, BMW has finally launched the new Mini Countryman facelift in India for Rs. 36.5 lac. The car has received small cosmetic changes which are mostly focused on the outside. The 2015 Countryman gets a new front grille, new alloy wheels and LED daytime running and fog lights. The compact crossover is now available in three new body colors - Jungle Green Metallic, Starlight Blue Metallic and Midnight Grey Metallic. The car will now fall under the Completely Built Unit (CBU) category after being assembled in India from April 2013.
Most of the interior remains unchanged, apart from the new infotainment system and the new black dials. The switches and vents also feature touches of chrome while everything else remains the same. Under the hood of the new Mini is a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel which produces 112 hp and 270 Nm of torque and is coupled with a 6-speed Steptronic transmission. This means the car will go from 0 to 100 Km/h in just 11.3 sec and can go all the way up to 185 Km/h.
BMW India offers a range of Mini Cooper D 5 door, Mini Cooper D 3 door, Mini Cooper S 3 door, Mini Cooper Convertible and the all new 2015 Mini Cooper D Countryman. The Mini range varies from Rs. 28.5 lac for the Cooper D(3 Door) and goes all the way up to Rs. 36.5 lac for the Countryman.
