The launch of the new-generation 3-Series is due and it is soon to go on sale. Our sources confirm that the new 3-Series (code named as F30) has reached the dealerships and the European-spec cars are being taken to the dealership for training purpose. The new 3-Series is likely to hit the showrooms in less than a month’s time and BMW is gearing up to launch the generation of its best selling sedan. The car will be launched, once the training at all the dealerships has been completed.
The 320i, 320d and the 328i will be the models that will be launched in India. The 2.0-litre diesel will remain the same, as on the outgoing version and will its power rating of 174bhp. The 320i gets a new turbocharged engine that will produce 184bhp of power. BMW has downsized its engines and it has now ditched the straight six cylinder engine of the 328i with a four-pot. So, the 328i gets the same 2.0-litre with an upgraded turbocharger that will produce 245bhp.
Our sources confirm that this new model will come in two trims Luxury and Sport, while the Corporate Edition could take some time. However, we believe that the Corporate Edition might be one of the options that will be made available at the launch time. The F30 is likely to come loaded with various bells and whistles and the 328i could be expensive. Watch out this space for more, as we shall soon update you on the launch date.
