New BMW X3 India launch slated on August 25th

The German car manufacturer BMW has finally announced the launch of the most awaited crossover the new BMW X3 in the Indian market. The new BMW X3 launch is expected to be on the 25th of August. The launch of new BMW X3 will end the wait for the new avataar of this luxury crossover in the market. This new model is a total change from the existing BMW X3; the car is designed in totally new style, just like the existing BMW X5.

This new BMW X3 will be assembled at the Chennai facility through the CKD route. The new BMW X3 price in India is expected to be around Rs.41.2 lakh and Rs42.2 lakh for the petrol and the diesel variants respectively. The expectations of the car from the diesel variants would surely be high due to the recent petrol hikes in the country.

The new BMW X3 review reveals that the petrol variant of the car, xDrive25i will be equipped with 2.5 Liter six pot petrol engine that would be capable of producing a maximum power of 210 bhp and a maximum torque of about 246 Nm. This engine would generate enough power to take the car to 100 kmph within the timeframe of 10 seconds, and will also be able touch the maximum speed of 210 kmph. The diesel variant, xDrive20d will incorporate a 2 liter, four pot turbo diesel engine which would generate a power of 180 bhp and a torque of 350 Nm. This engine also has the same capability of reaching the speed of 100 kmph in just 10 seconds and will reach a maximum speed of 200 kmph.
