New Ford Fiesta automatic likely to launch by next month

This year should be marked in red letters in the history of Ford as it’s the 35th birthday of its Fiesta across the globe. On this auspicious occasion Ford mulls to raise its share in the Indian market too with its new Ford Fiesta automatic. It is expected that this new automatic version of Ford Fiesta will be launched in India by the next month. Further, it is believed that American car major will release the automatic variant with both petrol and diesel options. As for new Ford Fiesta price, it is speculated that there will be a difference of about 50,000-75,000 over the manual version.

The existing model Ford Fiesta has taken the Indian market by storm since its launch. Ford Fiesta was launched in the month of July in four variants each in diesel and pertol variants. The Ford Fiesta price for the petrol variant starts at Rs 8.23 lakh and the diesel variant price is tagged at Rs 9.27 lakh(ex-showroom New Delhi). The petrol variant is equipped with 1.5 L Ti-VCT engine and the diesel engine is powered with a 1.5 L TDCi. New Ford Fiesta petrol variant is likely to offer a decent mileage of around 17 kmpl however the diesel variant is expected to offer a mileage of 23.5 kmpl. The US car maker Ford is the 6th largest car maker in India next to prominent car makers including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra and Chevrolet. Ford India’s journey began in 1907 with Ford Model A and it officially began the production in India in the year 1996.
