New Ford Fiesta to be renamed as Ford Fiesta Classic

Ford India which is currently enjoying the growing domestic auto market with its hatchback Ford Figo is all set to further fetch the growth in its favour. It is being learnt that Ford will roll out an all new Ford Fiesta code named B299 by end of this year. And the US Motor giant will christen the present generation Ford Fiesta as Ford Fiesta Classic. As per the sources, Ford wishes to stick to the same name rather than giving the new sedan a different name. The new coupe from the makers sports Ford's global kinetic design theme adorned with savvy look. It is expected that the new Ford Fiesta will enter the Indian shores in the later part of 2011 and is expected to come with a price tag of Rs 6.80 lakh which is likely to go up to Rs 7.70 lakh.

The new edition of the Ford Fiesta is longer than the present generation car model. It is being learnt that the new Ford Fiesta will be affixed with 1.6 litre petrol motor which will have a capacity of generation 118 hp. However, the diesel version of the new Ford Fiesta will be powered with 1.6 litre motor which can churn out 90 bhp more than the current model which comes with 1.4 diesel motor fetching 68 bhp.
