The 10th generation Honda Civic is expected to be launched in just a few weeks and its engine details have already been revealed. It will rival the likes of the Skoda Octavia, Hyundai Elantra and Toyota Corolla Altis in India. If you’re planning to buy one of these mid-size sedans and fuel efficiency is a factor that can influence your decision, we’ve compared the Civic’s claimed mileage figures with that of its rivals to see how it fares. Like its rivals, the new Civic will be offered with petrol and diesel engines. However, in the Civic’s case, the petrol engine will be available with a CVT only, while the diesel engine will be offered with a manual transmission only.
