New Honda Jazz to be launched soon

New Honda Jazz was spotted in Pune undergoing a road test though it still looks the same. The difference which can be spotted is that it is 1.5 litre engine which is expected to be more powerful. The car ensures a displacement of 1497 cc uses a SOHC mill, along with four cylinder, 16 valve i-VTEC motor generating a maximum torque of 118 PS at 6600 rpm and 146 NM of maximum torque at 4800 rpm. The car top speed is more than 180 kmph wherein it accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 9 seconds. Honda Jazz is expected to generate mileage of around 12 kmpl on the city roads and 15 kmpl on highways. The new Honda Jazz 1.5 litre being spotted on the roads only confirms the launch.

Honda Jazz 1.5 litre price is expected to be costlier by Rs 80,000 in the Honda Jazz 1.2 variant. It is being learnt that Honda Jazz 1.5 may feature automatic transmission with wider tyres which will help in better gripping on roads.

Honda Jazz has not been able to click with the buyers so well in the auto market. Honda the Japanese auto giant was even late to launch Honda Jazz. When it came in the Indian auto market it was priced more than its competitors. This termed to be the biggest reason for Honda Jazz to not perform well in the auto market in India. It was also rumoured that Honda Jazz will have Honda City's 1.5 litre VTEC powertrain but with its competitors thinking ahead of it, Volkswagen launched the Volkswagen Polo 1.6 litre and 1.6 litre Skoda Fabia .

With the new car model of Honda Jazz, the Japanese auto giant expects to reverse the game for the company. Though other than the hatchback Honda has four cars in India. They are Honda City, New Honda Accord, Honda CR-V and Honda Civic.
