New Mahindra SUV to be launched next year

The Indian auto market has been anticipating Mahindra’s brand new SUV. However it is no where to be seen. It is being reported that Mahindra is developing an SUV that not only does well in the Indian market but matches to International standards as well to appeal to overseas users. The SUV is powered by mHawk engine that currently runs Mahindra Scorpio. The speculated launch of the much awaited SUV which will be priced around INR 15 lakh, will happen in the coming year.

Mahindra has had a niche in designing and developing SUVs that stand the test of time and well, the harsh Indian roads. One such SUV is Mahindra Bolero. The model has outperformed every single SUV in the India and still stands tall after 10 years of its existence in the Indian market. Celebrating the same, the company Mahindra and Mahindra launched a revamped version of Mahindra Bolero for all to see. The company wanted to mark the popular model's presence in India and give a message that Bolero was more than just a tourist vehicle. Witness to the SUV's popularity is its 50,000 units sales for three years straight.

Moving on to Mahindra and Mahindra's recent developments in the auto Industry, the company stated that the discussions over the final contract regarding the takeover the debt ridden Korean auto manufacturer, Ssangyong will begin in December this year. Mahindra was chosen as the preferred bidder for the Korean company in debt. Negotations and talks have been going on since and these will finally be over in December 2010. Mahindra intends to expand its reach and presence in the global market by acquring the Korean automobile company that once stood as fourth largest automobile manufacturer. The Indian auto giant was chosen as the sole preferred bidder in the month of August, leaving behind Ruia Group and Daewoo.

Good times keep coming for Mahindra and Mahindra as not only is the company launching new cars, overtaking businesses but is doing pretty well on the social networking site, Facebook. Company's loved model, Mahindra Scorpio has rather a large following on Facebook with over 1.5 lakh fans religiously following what seems to be their favorite brand, Mahindra Scorpio.
